Tiwa Savage
2020s polished Lagos afro-R&B from the 2020s: glossy R&B keyboard voicings, live talking-drum accents, hand-played conga groove, seductive and swaggering in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.

History
Tiwa Savage sings afrobeats with the phrasing of an R&B singer, and that is what separates her records from the rest of the Lagos mainstream: the percussion underneath is Nigerian, while the melodic writing and the layered background vocals come from the British and American pop she worked in before returning home. She spent years abroad as a songwriting and session presence before building a career under her own name in Nigeria, and that route left her with an ear for arrangement that shows in how much space her productions keep. She moves between English, pidgin and Yoruba inside a single verse without marking the switch. All Over and Koroba sit at the club end of the catalogue, while Somebody's Son is the softer, openly pop-facing side that travelled furthest outside Africa. Her position matters past the songs: she is among the first women to hold the front rank of afrobeats rather than a supporting place in it.
