History
Swedish House Mafia is a progressive house and electro house supergroup from Stockholm, Sweden, officially formed in late 2008. Its members are three already-established DJ-producers: Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso, who had been playing shows together informally since the mid-2000s (initially alongside fellow Swede Eric Prydz, who opted not to join the group permanently). They broke through in 2010 with "One (Your Name)" featuring Pharrell Williams and "Miami 2 Ibiza" featuring Tinie Tempah, and their compilation album Until One reached the top five of the UK and US dance charts. Their biggest hit, "Don't You Worry Child" with vocalist John Martin, followed in 2012. Along with countryman Avicii, they are widely credited with pushing progressive house into the mainstream and setting the tone for the early-2010s EDM boom; the trio placed tenth on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll in 2011. The group split in 2013 after a farewell tour, reunited in 2018, and released their first full studio album, Paradise Again, in 2022, featuring "Moth to a Flame" with The Weeknd.
