History

Stray Kids built their reputation on noise: blown-out bass, shouted chants, abrupt tempo switches and beat drops that arrive a bar earlier than a listener expects. The group came out of a JYP Entertainment survival show, and the thing that set it apart from its label peers was that the music is made in house. The internal unit 3RACHA writes and produces most of the catalogue, which is why the records hold a single stubborn identity across years rather than following whatever the season's pop trend happens to be. God's Menu is the clearest template, a cooking metaphor bolted to a hard trap arrangement full of stops and grunts. MANIAC leans on a lurching hook and a chorus that keeps yanking the groove sideways. S-Class pushes the same formula into brass and stadium volume. The performance side matches it: choreography built on hard accents rather than smooth lines, and a vocal split that moves between rap sections and melodic ones inside a single verse. Six consecutive number one albums on the US chart came off that sound rather than any softening of it.
