History
Ski Mask the Slump God, born Stokeley Clevon Goulbourne on April 18, 1996, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is a rapper of Jamaican descent whose sound blends the chaotic energy of SoundCloud rap with anime- and comic-book-inflected wordplay, rapid-fire flows, and cartoonish ad-libs. His father, Jamaican rapper Sin City, pushed him toward music from an early age. At 16, while in a juvenile detention center, he met fellow rapper XXXTentacion; the two later founded the Broward County hip-hop collective Members Only. Ski Mask built a SoundCloud following from 2015 with tracks like "I Like Bricks" and "Kate Moss," then signed to Republic Records. His 2017 singles "Catch Me Outside" and "Babywipe" went RIAA gold, and the 2018 mixtape Beware the Book of Eli reached number 50 on the Billboard 200. His debut studio album, Stokeley (2018), peaked at number six and produced the Hot 100 hits "Faucet Failure," "Nuketown" (with Juice Wrld), and "Foot Fungus." He followed with Sin City the Mixtape (2021) and 11th Dimension (2024).
