History
Serebro is a Russian pop girl group formed in 2006 by producer Maxim Fadeev, originally conceived as a submission for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007. The debut lineup paired Star Factory alumna Elena Temnikova with newcomers Marina Lizorkina and Olga Seryabkina. Representing Russia at Eurovision 2007 with "Song #1," the trio placed third, a strong finish that launched their career. Their sound blends dance-pop and Europop with playful, often provocative visuals. The group's biggest domestic hit, "Mama Lover," from their second album, went double platinum in Russia, and its music video, viewed more than 20 million times, spawned over 250 parodies. Internationally, "Mi Mi Mi" became their most-watched video, racking up more than 100 million YouTube views. Serebro's lineup changed repeatedly over the years, with Lizorkina, Karpova, Temnikova, Shashina and others cycling through. Producer Maxim Fadeev disbanded the group in 2019, though a new lineup revived it in November 2024 with the single "Song #2."
