History

Sara Landry plays a dark, driving, ritualistic strain of hard techno, and her fans call her the High Priestess of Hard Techno. The American DJ released her first music in 2018. Her sets move fast and heavy: pounding distorted kicks, industrial textures, chanted and processed vocals, and occult, goddess-themed imagery that runs through her artwork and her label, Hekate Records, founded in 2021. A Boiler Room set recorded in 2023 drew millions of views and turned her into one of the most visible names in the genre's recent boom. She moved to Amsterdam in 2022, went on to play festivals such as Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas and Ultra, entered DJ Mag's Top 100 in 2024, and released her debut album, Spiritual Driveby, the same year. Her music leans on repetition and pressure rather than melody, with tracks that build a trance-like state out of rhythm alone. She is recognised by relentless tempo wrapped in a dark, ceremonial atmosphere.
