History
Sander van Doorn (born Sander Ketelaars, 28 February 1979) is a Dutch DJ and record producer from Eindhoven, Netherlands. He began releasing music in 2001 under aliases including Frequence and Sandler, then launched his recording career proper in 2004 with tech-trance releases on Oxygen Recordings. His remix work carried him from trance into mainstream pop and rock, including reworkings of tracks by the Arctic Monkeys, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Sia, and Lady Gaga. In 2007 he founded his own label, Doorn Records, and in 2008 released his debut album, Supernaturalistic, on Spinnin' Records, the same year he won "Best Breakthrough DJ" at the International Dance Music Awards. A second album, Eleve11, followed in 2011. He has been a fixture of the DJ Mag Top 100 poll since 2006, peaking at #10 in 2009, and held a 2010 residency at Ibiza's Amnesia club alongside Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz. His sound moved from tech-house and progressive house toward vocal-driven electro-house and EDM over the 2010s. Notable collaborators include Marco V and Robbie Williams, whose duet "Close My Eyes" reached the European Top 20.
