History

Reinier Zonneveld plays hard, acid-streaked techno live rather than from a USB stick, jamming on drum machines and synthesizers so that every set sounds slightly different. Born in 1991 in Alphen aan den Rijn in the Netherlands, he started playing piano at the age of three and later discovered electronic dance music while studying at Erasmus University Rotterdam. His early releases included a debut on Oliver Koletzki's Stil vor Talent label, but his own direction became clear with tracks such as "Megacity Servant": fast, relentless and full of squelching 303 lines. In 2017 he founded Filth on Acid, a label that became a home for his releases and for a wider circle of acid and peak-time techno producers. Records such as "Church of Clubmusic" and "Heaven is Mad (for You)" show the anthemic side of his sound. He also has unusual stamina: in 2023 he set a Guinness World Record with a live electronic performance lasting over eleven hours. His sets are easy to spot by pounding tempos, acid lines and a live, hands-on energy.
