History
Quest Pistols are a Ukrainian pop/dance band from Kyiv, formed in 2007 out of a dance troupe called Quest Ballet. Their origin story is genuinely odd: on April 1, 2007, three dancers performed the song "Ya ustal" as an April Fools' prank on a TV talent show and won over 60,000 positive votes, which convinced them to become a real band. The original trio was Anton Savlepov, Nikita Goruk, and Kostiantyn Borovsky, blending pop, house, and electronic sound with a strong visual/dance component. They released the album "Dlya tebya" (2007), followed by "Superklass" (2009), and toured across Ukraine, Russia, and other CIS countries. In 2008 the band won an MTV Europe Music Award as Best Ukrainian Act. The lineup shifted over the years, rebranding as Quest Pistols Show around 2014; in 2016 Savlepov and Goruk left to form a new band, Agon, alongside Borovsky.
