Modern crossover thrash from the 2010s: chugging downtuned riffs, squealing divebomb leads, thick picked bass, aggressive and defiant in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.

History

Dallas produced Power Trip in 2008, and for a decade they were the band that got hardcore kids and metal audiences into the same room without either side compromising. Riley Gale shouted rather than sang, front-loading every line, while the guitars ran Bay Area thrash riffs through a hardcore sense of timing. Manifest Decimation (2013) came out on Southern Lord with a wash of reverb over everything. Nightmare Logic (2017) stripped that away for a dry, close-miked room sound, and it broke the band well beyond the genre press; Executioner's Tax became the song people who did not listen to thrash still knew. Arthur Rizk produced both records and went on to a long list of metal credits. Gale died in August 2020 at 34, and the band has not continued in the same form. As a reference these records are worth most for the drum sound: tight, loud, unprocessed, sitting right at the front of the mix.
