History
Naza makes festive, high-energy Afro trap: chanted hooks, playful ad-libs and bouncing rhythms that pull from Congolese dance music as much as from French rap. Born in Amiens to a Congolese family, he grew up in Creil and has worked closely with his childhood friend KeBlack from the start. He co-wrote KeBlack's hit Bazardée, and both are signed to Bomayé Musik. His own run began in the mid-2010s with singles like MMM, a football-themed track, and continued through the albums Incroyable, C'est la loi, Bénef and Gros bébé. Joli bébé with Niska became one of his biggest songs. Naza plays the joker of the scene: his voice is bright and nasal, he sings as often as he raps, and he fills tracks with shouted catchphrases. The sound sits between the club, the football stadium and the family wedding, built for movement more than for storytelling.
