History
Madison Beer (b. March 5, 1999, Jericho, New York) is an American singer-songwriter working in pop, R&B, and indie-pop with soft, breathy vocals. She was discovered at 13 in 2012 when Justin Bieber tweeted her YouTube cover of Etta James' "At Last," which led to a deal with Island Records under Bieber's manager Scooter Braun. She later signed to Epic Records in 2019. Her 2018 EP As She Pleases charted on the Billboard 200, spawning the Gold-certified singles "Dead" and "Home with You." Her 2021 debut album, Life Support, a concept record about depression and mental health, produced the Platinum single "Selfish." Its 2023 follow-up, Silence Between Songs, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Immersive Audio Album, and her 2026 album Locket debuted in the Top Ten in the US, UK, and Australia. Beyond music, she lent her voice to Evelynn in Riot Games' virtual group K/DA and published a memoir, The Half of It, in 2023.
