History

Lorna Shore play deathcore at orchestral scale: blast beats and breakdowns buried under choirs, strings and synth layers, with a vocal performance that swings from guttural lows to shrieking highs inside a single phrase. The band formed in New Jersey around the turn of the 2010s and spent years as a hard-working name in the deathcore underground, moving steadily from a straighter sound toward the blackened, symphonic style heard on Immortal in 2020. Their fortunes turned when Will Ramos took over as vocalist and the 2021 EP ...And I Return to Nothingness, led by the song To the Hellfire, spread far beyond metal circles, largely on the strength of his extreme and varied delivery. Pain Remains followed in 2022 and closed with a three-part suite that became one of the most talked-about metal endings of the decade. I Feel the Everblack Festering Within Me arrived in 2025. Listeners recognise the band by its cinematic scale, relentless drumming, melodic guitar leads over the chaos and a singer who treats the scream as an instrument with many registers.
