Каспийский груз
Chanson-tinged street rap from the 2010s: nylon guitar loop, accordion phrase, brushed lazy drums, melancholic and swaggering in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.
Style: Russian melodic rap
History
Kaspiyskiy Gruz (Каспийский груз) is a Russian-language rap duo from Baku, Azerbaijan, formed in 2010 by childhood friends Anar Zeynalov (stage name ВесЪ) and Timur Odilbekov (Брутто). Their sound sits in alternative hip-hop and trap, built around street storytelling often labeled "criminal romance" — vivid accounts of tough 1990s post-Soviet life. They released their debut album "Ringtony Dlya Zony" in March 2013, followed by collaborations with Moscow rapper Guf and members of the disbanded group CENTR (Slim, Rem Digga). Their 2015 album "Storona A / Storona B" reached #10 among Russia's best-selling iTunes albums that year and was later named one of the 20 defining Russian rap albums of the 2010s by the outlet The Flow. In 2016 each member released a solo record that debuted at #2 and #3 on iTunes' weekly chart. The group announced its farewell album, "Soundtrack to a Movie Never Made," in 2017, then unexpectedly reunited in 2023 with a new EP. Russian outlet Meduza has described them as heirs to writer Mikhail Zoshchenko's satirical street-voice tradition, and as a frequent source of internet memes.
