Jimi Hendrix
Sixties psychedelic blues trio from the 1960s: octave-fuzz lead tone, rotary vibe swirl, thumb-fretted chord embellishments, raw and hypnotic in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.

History
Jimi Hendrix changed what an electric guitar was allowed to sound like. He learned his trade as a backing player on the American touring circuit, playing behind other people's singers, then moved to London in the mid 1960s and put together a trio that gave him room to lead. Within a couple of years feedback, controlled distortion and the wah pedal had stopped being accidents and become part of the writing. Purple Haze opens on an interval that sounds wrong until it resolves and then never leaves you. His arrangement of All Along the Watchtower rebuilt a Bob Dylan song so completely that the original now sounds like a demo of it. Voodoo Child (Slight Return) is mostly one riff and a great deal of hand, and his solo reading of the American national anthem at Woodstock turned a melody everyone knew into something closer to a report from a war. He played a right-handed instrument flipped over and strung in reverse. The signature is tone: thick, vocal and always slightly on the edge of tipping over.
