History

Iann Dior, born Michael Ian Olmo on March 25, 1999, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, is an American rapper and singer who grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. He performed under earlier stage names before settling on Iann Dior, and began uploading music to SoundCloud in 2019 after losing a job at UPS. His debut mixtape, "nothings ever good enough" (2019), collected early singles such as "cutthroat" and "emotions," followed by his debut studio album "Industry Plant" (2019), featuring "gone girl" with Trippie Redd and "Strings" with Gunna. His sound blends emo rap with melodic, pop-leaning hooks. His biggest breakthrough came with "Mood," a 2020 collaboration with 24kGoldn that reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming his first and highest-charting single to date. He released the EP "I'm Gone" the same year. Detailed biographical information about his later career is scarce online.
