History
Hulvey belongs to the newer wave of Christian hip-hop, the one where faith-driven lyrics sit comfortably on melodic, radio-friendly trap and pop production. He comes from Brunswick, Georgia, dropped out of college and moved to Atlanta to chase music, working at a supermarket while he built his craft. Reach Records signed him in 2019, making him part of the label's 116 circle. He appeared on Lecrae's Restoration in 2020, and his debut album Christopher followed in 2021, a personal record, named after himself, in which he talks through family, struggle and faith. Songs with Forrest Frank in 2023, such as "No Longer Bound", took him to a wider audience beyond church playlists. His second album, Cry, came out in 2024. Listeners recognise him by his soft, melodic delivery that slides between singing and rapping, warm hooks and an openly emotional tone that fits worship music as much as trap.
