Goran Bregović
Nineties balkan brass wedding band from the 1990s: blaring trumpet unison, oompah tuba pulse, tapan bass drum, theatrical and euphoric in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.

History
Goran Bregović came to film music from rock: he spent the seventies and eighties writing for one of the biggest bands in Yugoslavia before the country broke apart and he moved to scoring. What he built afterwards is an ensemble sound with no real precedent, a Balkan brass band with its blaring trumpets and heavy tapan drum set against a male polyphonic choir, a high female choir in the Bulgarian manner, strings and a rock rhythm section. The scores he wrote for Emir Kusturica's films carried that music far outside the region, and "Ederlezi", his arrangement of a Romani song for the spring feast of Saint George, is now recognised across Europe by people who could not name its source. His writing swings between two extremes: whirlwind brass tempos that accelerate until the band sounds about to fall apart, and slow laments over a drone. A listener knows him by the trumpets and by that sudden switch from celebration to mourning inside one piece.
