History
Eric Sheridan Prydz (born 19 July 1976 in Stockholm, Sweden) is a DJ and producer who built his career from London, working across progressive house and techno. He broke through in 2004 with "Call on Me," built around a replayed sample of Steve Winwood's "Valerie" (Winwood himself rerecorded vocals for it); the track topped the UK chart for five weeks and its aerobics-themed video became one of the era's most talked-about. He followed with "Proper Education" (2007) and "Pjanoo" (2008), later releasing music under the aliases Pryda (melodic, uplifting) and Cirez D (darker techno), and runs the labels Pryda, Pryda Friends, and Mouseville. His 2016 debut album Opus included the nine-minute title track "Opus," often cited as his signature work. He won DJ of the Year at the 2017 Electronic Music Awards and is known for the EPIC live show series, which pioneered large-scale hologram visuals in dance music.
