History

Eldar Dzharakhov (born July 12, 1994, in Storozhevskiye Khutora, Lipetsk Oblast, Russia; raised in Novokuznetsk) is a Russian rapper, YouTube personality, and podcast host performing as Dzharakhov. He started rapping in middle school and, as a teenager, formed the group Prototypes MCs with Alexander Smirnov (aka Tilex); the duo later became known as Uspeshnaya Gruppa (Successful Group). His comedic parody track "Red Moccasin" (a Gangnam Style spoof) broke through in 2012, and the pair later expanded with Ilya Prusikin (later of Little Big) into the ClickClackBand project, whose viral parody videos won a Runet Media Award in 2013. Dzharakhov is often credited as a pioneer of Russian "blog-rap," blending comedic online content with hip-hop. His 2017 video "Blokery" (Blockers) ranked third among Russia's most-watched YouTube clips of the year, and his 2020 tracks "Ya - Gusein Gasanov" and "Degenerat" went viral alongside his own podcast, which hosted guests like Slava Marlow and Nastya Ivleeva.
