History
Дайте танк (!) formed in Kolomna near Moscow and put out music for years with almost no press attention, until «Инопланетный вопрос» (2017) and «Человеко-часы» (2019) brought a wider listenership. The guitar writing is the identifying feature: interlocking clean-toned lines, shifting meters, arrangements that step away from the standard verse and chorus block. Over it sits a talk-sing vocal pitched close to ordinary speech, with lyrics built on wordplay and everyday situations. The band grew through the internet rather than radio or a label, which is how most Russian indie acts of that size arrived during the decade. Verified material about the group is limited, so the line-up and the early years are left undescribed here rather than guessed at.
