History
Coco Jones (born Courtney Michaela Ann Jones, January 4, 1998, in Columbia, South Carolina) is an American R&B, pop, and soul singer-songwriter and actress raised in Lebanon, Tennessee. She got her start as a Disney Channel performer in the early 2010s, starring in the 2012 TV movie Let It Shine, before Hollywood Records dropped her in 2014 and she spent years releasing music independently. Jones relaunched her career in 2022, signing with High Standardz and Def Jam Recordings for the single "ICU," which went platinum, became her first Billboard Hot 100 entry, and won Best R&B Performance at the 66th Grammy Awards, one of five nominations that year including Best New Artist. She also starred in Peacock's Bel-Air (2022-2025). Her 2025 debut album, Why Not More?, earned a second Best R&B Album Grammy nod, and its single "Here We Go (Uh Oh)" was nominated for Best R&B Song. She has also won a BET Award and an NAACP Image Award.
