Blxst
Twenty-twenties melodic g-funk revival from the 2020s: whistling synth lead, rubbery synth bass, electric piano chords, warm and seductive in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.

History
Blxst sits at the point where Los Angeles rap stopped shouting and started singing. He raps and sings in the same breath, often inside one line, over production he largely builds himself: warm bass, gliding synth leads and a rhythmic bounce inherited from g-funk but slowed and smoothed for headphones rather than car speakers. The result is music that reads as romantic and relaxed on the surface while the writing underneath is about hustle, loyalty and the cost of both. No Love Lost made him one of the most talked-about new voices on the West Coast in 2020, and Chosen became his breakout, going platinum and pulling the melodic LA sound back into the mainstream. Because he produces, writes and sings, his records have an unusually consistent atmosphere; the hooks feel like they were written into the beat rather than added to it. A listener recognises the soft, slightly hoarse top line and the way his choruses arrive without any build-up.
