Bicep
Melancholic breakbeat rave house from the 2010s: chopped breakbeat loop, wide reverb pads, rave chord stabs, melancholic and euphoric in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.

History
Matthew McBriar and Andrew Ferguson come from Belfast and started as bloggers. Feel My Bicep was where they posted the old house and Italo records they had dug up, and the producing came afterwards, which shows: their own tracks are assembled out of the parts of early nineties rave they kept returning to. "Glue" in 2017 is the clearest case. A breakbeat, a pad chord held underneath it, a vocal sample too short to parse, no obvious chorus, and it has been played at festivals every summer since. The self-titled album followed the same year on Ninja Tune. Isles arrived in 2021, reached number two in the UK, and brought singers onto tracks like "Apricots" without changing the temperature. What the duo settled on is a specific emotional register: nostalgia for a rave scene they were mostly too young for.
