History
Ariana Grande (b. June 26, 1993, Boca Raton, Florida) began as a child actress, appearing on Broadway in "13" (2008) before landing the role of Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon's Victorious (2010-2013). She signed to Republic Records and released her debut album Yours Truly in 2013, a retro-pop/R&B record led by the single "The Way," which drew comparisons to Mariah Carey for her wide vocal range. My Everything (2014) debuted at number one and produced the hit "Problem." She built her signature sound across Dangerous Woman (2016), Sweetener (2018), and thank u, next (2019), whose title track and follow-up single "7 Rings" both topped the Billboard Hot 100. In April 2019 she became the youngest performer ever to headline Coachella (a record later broken by Billie Eilish) and only the fourth woman to do so. Known for her four-octave vocal range and signature whistle register, Grande has won two Grammy Awards and set 36 Guinness World Records over her career.
