Alan Walker
2010s melancholic melodic-house drop from the 2010s: glassy pluck lead, pitched vocal chop, minor piano motif, melancholic and shimmering in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.

History
Alan Walker came out of the bedroom producer generation: a Norwegian teenager posting tracks online, learning arrangement from tutorials, and finding an audience through video platforms rather than clubs. His sound is melodic EDM stripped back to its most singable parts. A short plucked synth motif carries the song, the drop is that motif rather than a wall of noise, the bass stays clean, and the vocal is processed into something closer to an instrument than a performance. Everything is built so the melody survives being hummed. "Faded" grew out of an earlier instrumental version, gathered over a billion streams and charted across Europe, and it set the pattern that "Alone" and "Sing Me to Sleep" continued. The hooded figure with a face mask gave the project a visual identity that worked without a personality attached, which suited music that belongs to the listener more than to the producer.
