History
7 Year Bitch formed in Seattle in 1990, taking their name from the film The Seven Year Itch. Part of the city's punk and grunge scene, the all-female band played raw, aggressive punk rock. Original members were vocalist Selene Vigil, bassist Elizabeth Davis, drummer Valerie Agnew, and guitarist Stefanie Sargent, who died in 1992 and was replaced by Roisin Dunne. Their 1994 album ¡Viva Zapata! honored Sargent and Gits singer Mia Zapata, murdered in 1993. Drummer Valerie Agnew went on to co-found the anti-violence group Home Alive. The band released three studio albums before breaking up in 1997.
